About the Wine

On the nose, the 2014 BrakelightTM Syrah offers distinctive notes of clove, smoke, leather, and a hint of red fruit.  The wine is smooth and full bodied on the palette, presenting rich red berry fruit, sassy spiciness, and just a dash of pepper on the finish.  This Syrah is drinking nicely right now, and we think 1-2 years of bottle age will further enhance its elegance.  Pair this big Syrah with a 2-year aged cheddar, a blue cheese, and of course a big steak on the grill.

The Story

Our building once housed a bakery famed for rye and an impromptu drive-thru, courtesy of the sudden two lane merge out front.  This label is a tribute to the few folks that got a little too close and personal with the building, as their brakelight never came on until it was too late.
